Day 3

Subject: [firstname]: A word about your IM advertising strategy.

Hey [firstname]!

How's your Internet Marketing advertising strategy working out? Do you actually HAVE an IM adverting strategy?

If you don't, you're not alone. For many marketers, the way they advertise just sort of evolves. You start out doing one thing, you move on to something else, then something else and so on. This is understandable.

The only problem is: After a while, you'll find that you're putting more effort IN than you're getting results OUT. You might even find that your marketing efforts are working against each other.

In order to get the most for your advertising dollar (or your working hour) you need to devise a complete advertising strategy that helps you to maximize your return on investment (ROI).

The best way is to simply decide what you want to accomplish and work backwards from that.

For example: Are you looking to get direct sales? If so, you'll need compelling sales copy with a strong call to action. You'll also need to pique potential customers' curiosity with your ad copy or SEO tagline so they visit your sales page. If you're using paid advertising to drive traffic, you'll need to advertise where potential customers will see your ad.

Are you looking to get sign-ups to your mailing list? Then in addition to the above, you'll need to make sure your freebie has a high perceived value so that visitors are happy to part with their e-mail address in order to get it. You should then make sure you have an effective sales funnel that turns visitors into customers and gets them purchasing higher and higher priced products or services.

I could go on, but you get the picture!

Regardless of what you want to achieve, all aspects of your advertising should complement each other and work hand in hand to get your desired result ASAP.
